The contemporary 4-star Walmont Hotel is part of the Grand Palm Resort and located immediately adjacent to the Gaborone International Convention Centre, which will be hosting the technical sessions. Both queen and twin rooms en-suite have bathroom/shower and are fitted with their own mini-fridge (mini-bar on request), hairdryer, air conditioning, free wireless internet, TV and direct dialing telephone. The hotel is wheelchair accessible. Room service is available 24 hours a day. The hotel also offers a free airport shuttle service and pay per use taxi service.
The hotel also boasts extensive grounds and gardens including a 2.4 km jogging/walking trail, outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts, three restaurants and two bars, one poolside and one indoors, both with additional dining options. Delegates staying here will avoid the Gaborone traffic.

All 187 rooms in the hotel have been blocked for 11 IKC delegates for the duration of the conference. The 11 IKC Organising Committee has secured preferential 2017 room rates for registered 11 IKC delegates which include breakfast for one person (approximately a 20% reduction from rack rates). The 11 IKC delegate rate will be applied to delegates staying longer than the room block dates. Rates are inclusive of local VAT and exclusive of local hotel tax (BWP10/night/person). Delegates will be able to book online directly with the hotel using an 11 IKC promotion code which will be provided to delegates with their confirmation of registration. A deposit of BWP1655 is required at time of booking for one person (BWP 1860 for two persons) which is refundable up to 24 hours prior to check-in. Delegates must book their room by 31 July 2017 to enjoy the 11 IKC preferential rate.
In addition, for the six nights of the conference (nights of 17th to 22nd inclusive) the 11 IKC delegate rate is further reduced (approximately a total of 40% reduction from rack rates) through the sponsorship of the 11 IKC Cullinan Level Sponsor, Lucara Diamond Corporation. This additional reduction will be applied at the time of checkout.
